The Rutgers Center for State Health Policy conducts policy analysis, research, training, facilitation, and consultation on health policy in New Jersey.

This project supports an evaluation of a New Jersey-based adaptation of Project ECHO. Project ECHO is a national model that uses case-based learning to foster mentoring partnerships between specialists and primary care providers to enhance screening and the quality of care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders. The evaluation will test the impact of the Endocrinology ECHO on patient outcomes and Medicaid spending. To the extent possible, return-on-investment of Endocrinology ECHO to the Medicaid program also is being calculated.
