Project Goal: To support the design and provision of classrooms to deliver high-quality early care and education for infants and toddlers.

Project Description: This project assists the Gateway Community Action Partnership to convert six classrooms to serve 48 new Early Head Start infants and toddlers, ages 0-3, and to expand the space and capabilities of three existing Early Head Start classrooms currently serving 24 children. The grant pays for infant and toddler equipment and materials for the classrooms. The new and expanding classrooms are in low-income areas of southern New Jersey, in Atlantic and Cape May counties. 

About the Grantee: Gateway Community Action Partnership is the designated Community Action Program (CAP) for Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties in southern New Jersey. They also provide services in Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, and Mercer counties, as well as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Learn more about Gateway Community Action Partnership.
