The Nicholson Foundation Presented with 2015 Circle of Collaboration Award

On June 10, 2015 the New Jersey Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NJACCRRA) presented its 2015 Circle of Collaboration Award to The Nicholson Foundation. The award recognizes the Foundation’s ongoing support for efforts to enhance the quality of early care and education for New Jersey’s children.

This support includes funding for: 

• The Steps to Quality family child care initiative
• A public engagement campaign  for the PBS documentary The Raising of America: Early Childhood and the Future of our Nation,

• Initiatives to test New Jersey's early childhood program quality rating and improvement system, and

• Organizations that promote early childhood and parenting education services.

In her presentation speech, Rebekka Zydel, Executive Director of Child & Family Resources and immediate past president of NJACCRRA, noted that, "The Foundation has demonstrated a mission to advance innovative and effective solutions to some of the challenging early care and education issues facing New Jersey and is making a significant difference to our shared future."
